Dedicated To Coordinating And Supporting Initiatives
To Improve and Protect The
Region’s Environment
The mission of the
Tennessee Valley Earth Partnership (TVEP) is to promote
environmental awareness and Earth Day in general by:
- Providing
information and education on environmental issues.
- Partnering with
organizations to address environmental issues.
- Making the public
and governmental agencies aware of environmental
issues and coordinating action on those issues.
- Promoting the TVEP,
Earth Day, EarthFest and, other environmental
issues and events.
This mission will be
fulfilled by:
- Coordinating,
promoting, and encouraging sound environmental
programs throughout the state of Tennessee and the
United States at
all levels of public and private organizations.
- Providing a forum
for information exchange and networking of
environmental issues in the way of, but not limited
to, annual events,
conferences and workshops.
- Establishing a
relationship with national, state, and local
environmental agencies, nonprofit groups, and other
private
organizations.
- Providing
recognition and support to those organizations and
individuals who wish to exhibit excellence in
environmental programs
and initiatives.
- Providing TVEP
representation whenever and wherever feasible.

- Planning EarthFest
2006

- Researching a
Coupon Book geared to environmental awareness in the

- Exploring Go
Green, an initiative to develop hands on recycling
and environmental education in the schools through
